The storyline: The film highlights the life of the Maratha warrior Tanhaji Malusare who was one of the closest friends and a military leader of Chhatrapati Shivaji. It focuses on the famous battle of   Sinhagad (Feb 04, 1670), which saw Tanhaji attacked Udaybhan, a Rajput who fought for Aurangzeb against Marathas.

Message: The movie inspires us to remember all the freedom fighters warriors who laid their lives to make our motherland free from the enemies.

Recommendation: I would recommend everyone to watch this movie along with all the family members especially the school children to make them aware of the greatest historical episodes of the Chhatrapati Shivaji’s regime.

Film Review: Under the treaty of Purandar, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj surrendered his 23 forts to Aurangzeb including the Kondhana (now called Sinhagad). Rajmata Jijabai swore that she would walk bare feet till the fort was recaptured by the Marathas. Four years later Aurangzeb sends Udaybhan with a huge army to ensure that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj cannot reclaim the fort. Here Shivaji Maharaj doesn't want to send his trusted lieutenant and dear friend Subedaar Tanhaji Malusare on the battlefield due to his son's upcoming wedding, but Tanaji insists Shivaji give the opportunity to him. Tanhaji along with his brave warrior attacks the kondana but sacrifices his life to achieve it.

Why did you like this movie?   :
  1. The movie is a magnificent visual spectacle best enjoyed 3D effects. It depicts a true historical event about the life of brave Maratha warrior Tanhaji  Malusare. The movie has everything that historical movies require and all the actors have tried the best to portray their roles.
